SKIMS is a solutions-oriented brand creating the future of underwear, shapewear and loungewear.We’re disrupting the industry with our game-changing product and culturally driven creative and are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join us in building the next generation of intimates.
Key Responsibilities
- Hands on individual contributor to the development of SKIMS core ecommerce platform and integrations
- Designing and building new microservices to deploy on AWS infrastructure
- Driving new and existing internal RESTful API development at scale and integrating with various 3rd party APIs
- Designing RESTful API to ensure robust performance while adhering to OAuth security best practices
- Designing and implementing automated regression and performing testing framework to be integration with our CI/CD pipeline
- Enhancing our current LocalStack setup to support end-to-end local development needs
- Develop, maintain, and deploy AWS serverless Lambda functions
- Participating in the PR review process and offer constructive feedback
- Improving code coverage with TDD
- Participating in PagerDuty On-Call rotation
- Partnering with DevOps engineer to build, deploy, secure, and scale production applications
- Full engineering ownership in all phases of SDLC
- Partnering with product team and stakeholders to execute technology Roadmap initiatives
- Write clean and DRY code. (Essentially, Uncle Bob approved!)
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- 3+ years of experience designing and building backend and REST services using Python3, Django, DRF, OAuth, JWT
- 2+ years of experiencing building and deploying large scale application on AWS infrastructure and services
- 2+ experience designing and building secure RESTful API at scale
- Experience working with TDD
- Solid understanding of web security best practices
- Experience with Swagger for API documentation
- Strong attention to detail and effective communicator
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Having pride in software craftsmanship

Compensation: $185,000 - $202,000 / year
