We’re looking for a Product Development & Design Assistant to support our Innovation and Collaborations team, helping bring bold new product concepts and partnerships to life
This role supports the end-to-end product development lifecycle for SKIMS’ innovation initiatives and collaborations, working closely with cross-functional teams to manage timelines, organize samples, and ensure the seamless execution of new product concepts. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, organized, and proactive team player with a strong eye for design, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for innovation.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day operations of the innovation and collaboration product development process, including tracking samples, materials, and trims.
- Create and maintain line sheets, BOMs, and tech packs to ensure product details are accurately communicated.
- Partner with factories and vendors to track development and production timelines, ensuring deliverables are met.
- Support the PD team with fittings, style reviews, and quality checks, documenting feedback and communicating revisions.
Design & Creative Support
- Assist in research and mood board creation to support concept development for seasonal innovation and collaboration collections.
- Help organize design reviews, prepare presentation decks, and manage CADs and fabric swatches.
- Collaborate with designers to ensure alignment on brand aesthetic, quality standards, and fit.
- Maintain organized design archives and sample libraries.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate with Merchandising, Production, Marketing, and Partnerships teams to ensure design and development milestones align with campaign and launch strategies.
- Assist in preparing samples, presentations, and assets for cross-functional meetings and external partner reviews.
- Help manage partner communications and approval processes for collaborations.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Product Development, Merchandising, or related field preferred.
1–2 years of experience in design or product development; internships in fashion or lifestyle brands highly desirable.
Strong organizational and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.
Knowledge of garment construction, textiles, and trims; interest in technical innovation a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Passion for innovation, collaborations, and cultural trends.

Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000 / year
