The Opportunity

We are looking for a highly creative Senior Graphic Designer who can take conceptual ideas and create visual representations, both in print and electronic media. Our ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of current design software and skilled with every step of the design process from concept to the final deliverable. Collaborating with multiple teams at Nudestix, the Senior Graphic Designer should be able to take direction from written or spoken ideas and convert them into a design that connects. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of branding and marketing, with the ability to vary style and layouts depending on the project. This role will report directly to the Creative Director.

The Objectives of this Role

  • Work on a wide range of creative projects and multi-media, using various computer software to visualize and develop innovative graphics that meet business goals
  • Obtain input from management, ensuring designs meet organizational expectations and brand standards, express ideas accurately, and represent the company or client appropriately.
  • Work independently and cooperatively on multiple projects with retail and marketing team, meeting deadlines and budget constraints, and scheduling project implementation based on workload, which may include five or more simultaneous projects.
  • Audit existing processes and identify creative solutions to improve design capabilities.
  • Work on video design, ad design and editing and update and maintain internal databases of designs, photography, and video.
  • Senior lead in Art Direction of brand campaigns, photoshoots and be lead support to the Creative Director in execution.

What You’ll Do

  • Planning and managing all stages of the design projects
  • Ensuring delivery of high quality and original artworks
  • Assigning tasks and reviewing submissions of Junior Designers, Interns, and Freelancers
  • Collaborating on Art direction for brand campaigns; including concepting, photoshoot & video projects as per founder vision.
  • Managing production, coordination and organization of photoshoots and creative production.
  • Create and maintain email blasts, digital banners, digital ads and all ecommerce business needs including daily website updates
  • Increase user friendliness in all digital products
  • Suggesting and making creative alterations to projects
  • Coordinating with the design team in generating new and innovative design ideas
  • Design different types of graphics like infographics and illustrations
  • Maintaining brand consistency throughout all marketing projects
  • Refine images, fonts and layouts including applying typography techniques
  • Liaise with the marketing team for creating all promotional graphics and ensuring deadlines are met timely
  • Assessing the productivity and quality output of the Design team
  • Provide a timeline upon assessing the clients’ needs and preferences
  • Selecting and maintaining appropriate materials for artwork like ink, paper, and colors
  • Liase with, manage and source external talent such as photographers, videographers, editors, makeup artists and other freelancers for campaign and product launch production.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Art, or related field
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite required (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)
  • 5+ years’ experience in areas of brand marketing, social media asset creation considered an asset
  • Video editing experience considered an asset
  • Exceptional creativity and innovative design skills
  • Proven experience with a strong portfolio of work (please provide a link to your website or a PDF showcasing 10+ examples of work)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • A strong interest in beauty, social and cultural trends and emerging digital techniques
  • Organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Encourages team collaboration and positive creative environment
