ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conducts daily quality and food safety checks to ensure compliance with customer requirements, product specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Conducts post-cleaning verification, pre-operational inspection of equipment and facilities and line clearance.
- Conducts product shelf-life analysis and maintains sample inventory.
- Collects environmental swabs and prepares samples for 3rd party lab analysis.
- Reports all product nonconformities and processing issues to Quality and Plant Management, as it relates to product quality and/or food safety.
- Performs computer data entry and statistical analysis of Quality KPI’s.
- Ensures compliance to regulatory requirements, SQF, HACCP and GMP activities at all levels of operation.
- Helps maintaining quality manuals/SOPs, production/processing forms and records to meet established standards per SQF system.
- Participates in internal food safety audits.
- Other jobs as assigned by the Quality Management.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Associate degree in science/work experience equivalent.
- At least one-year experience in quality role in food manufacturing environment.
- HACCP and/or PCQI certification is a plus
- Lab experience preferred, but not required.
- Entry-level candidates can be considered.
