Job Overview
Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for food and exceptional customer service? As a Shift Leader, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring that every guest receives outstanding service while maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and cleanliness. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate shift activities to ensure smooth restaurant operations during busy hours
- Lead and motivate team members through effective training, coaching, and development initiatives
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality standards and consistency
- Manage inventory control, including stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and cash handling with accuracy
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards across all areas of the restaurant
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and promote an exceptional guest experience
- Assist with staff scheduling, interviewing potential team members, and managing shift staffing needs
- Support kitchen management by supervising food production, food handling, and ensuring timely service
- Monitor restaurant performance metrics to meet operational goals related to sales, efficiency, and customer satisfaction
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service management or restaurant supervision within quick-service or casual dining environments
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management practices
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for transactions and reporting
- Demonstrated leadership skills in staff training, team management, and conflict resolution
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures to ensure health regulations are met
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally
- Experience with inventory control, budgeting, and cost management within a restaurant setting
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Previous experience in hospitality management or assistant management roles is highly desirable
