Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Shift Leader to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced, quick service and casual dining environment. As a Shift Leader, you will be the driving force behind daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining food quality standards, and supervising team members to deliver a seamless dining experience. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about food service management, team leadership, and hospitality excellence. Duties
- Lead and oversee daily restaurant operations during your shift, ensuring smooth service flow and high-quality food preparation.
- Supervise and motivate team members, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a positive work environment.
- Manage food production processes, including cooking, food handling, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
- Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and transaction accuracy.
- Control inventory levels by monitoring stock supplies, conducting inventory checks, and assisting with ordering to minimize waste.
- Ensure adherence to health regulations and safety protocols across all areas of the restaurant.
- Assist in interviewing, onboarding new staff members, and conducting staff training & development initiatives.
- Support management in budgeting tasks, shift planning, and maintaining operational efficiency.
- Handle customer inquiries or complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction and uphold the restaurant’s reputation.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff on food quality control, catering orders, banquet events, or special promotions as needed.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety practices within a quick service or casual dining setting.
- Strong leadership skills with prior supervising or management experience in a restaurant environment.
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient transaction processing.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally.
- Knowledge of inventory control methods and food management procedures.
- Ability to train staff effectively in food handling, hospitality standards, and operational procedures.
- Experience with kitchen management including food production processes and catering or banquet services is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to manage shift operations efficiently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
