Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Store Manager to oversee daily retail operations, ensure excellent customer service, and lead a team toward achieving sales and operational goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, retail management expertise, and exceptional organizational abilities to maintain a well-run store environment. This role involves managing inventory, supervising staff, and implementing effective sales strategies to drive store success.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise store staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating employee performance to foster a motivated team.
  • Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS transactions.
  • Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, merchandising, and pricing strategies to optimize sales.
  • Develop and implement sales plans, marketing initiatives, and promotional activities to increase store revenue.
  • Ensure high levels of customer service by addressing customer inquiries, resolving complaints, and maintaining professional phone etiquette.
  • Conduct employee orientation sessions, training & development programs, and oversee shift management for smooth operations.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as bookkeeping, payroll processing, budgeting, and store reporting.
  • Coordinate purchasing activities to maintain optimal inventory levels while controlling costs.
  • Utilize management skills to supervise inventory management systems and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Foster a positive shopping environment through effective merchandising and stock organization.

Skills

  • Strong leadership with supervisory experience in retail or grocery store environments.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate staff and engage customers effectively.
  • Proficiency in retail math, POS systems, cash handling, and inventory management software.
  • Skilled in negotiation, purchasing, pricing strategies, and sales management techniques.
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases.
  • Experience in recruiting, interviewing candidates, employee orientation, training & development.
  • Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under time constraints.
  • Knowledge of retail sales techniques including merchandising, marketing strategies, and retail math.
  • Competence in budgeting, bookkeeping, payroll processing, and administrative responsibilities.
