Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of food safety practices. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in creating delicious meals that meet our high standards of quality and presentation. This position requires teamwork, creativity, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This is Part time 15-25hrs

Duties

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu plans.
• Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Assist in menu planning, including selecting ingredients and portion sizes.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including cooking equipment and utensils.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
• Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
• Provide support to dietary aides or other kitchen staff as required.
• Stay updated on culinary trends and techniques to enhance menu offerings.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant setting is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills.
• Familiarity with dietary needs and meal preparation for various diets is a plus.
• Understanding of food safety standards and best practices.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills in the culinary field.
